Privacy Policy

This policy covers www.mattburrell.dev, the personal website of Matt Burrell. The short version: this site does not set cookies, run analytics or collect personal information about you.

Who runs this site

The site is run by Matt Burrell, trading through Solid Code Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, email info@solidcodesolutions.co.uk.

What this site collects

Nothing directly. There are no contact forms, sign-ups, comments or accounts, and the site does not use analytics or advertising services. It does not set cookies or use local storage.

Two third parties are involved in serving the site, and each may see your IP address and standard browser information as part of delivering it:

  • Vercel hosts the site and keeps short-term server logs for security and operational purposes. See the Vercel privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts serves the typeface used on the site. See the Google privacy policy.

I do not receive, store or analyse any of this information myself.

If you contact me

If you email me or message me on LinkedIn, I will use what you send only to reply and to deal with whatever you have asked about. I do not add people to mailing lists or share their details with anyone else. Messages are kept for as long as they are useful for the conversation and then deleted.

Links to other sites

This site links to external sites such as LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube, Medium, the Chrome Web Store, Solid Code Solutions and Cloak for Schools. Each has its own privacy policy, and I am not responsible for how they handle your data once you leave this site.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to ask what personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. Because this site does not collect personal data, in practice this only applies to anything you have sent me directly. To exercise these rights, email the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts doing anything that affects your privacy, such as adding analytics or a contact form, this page will be updated first.
